This is a guide to help understand province buildings and what they do.
2.Capital
The capital building is a vital building to have. This building allows the production of all civilian units (Administrators, Colonists, Explorers) without the need of a university. It is also vital for morale. Having no capital will negatively affect your morale. Other provinces will also have a loss of morale for the distance to the capital (the greater the distance, the bigger the drop of morale). Having this building also increases the morale of the province it is built in by up to 25%. This building also increases the unit production speed of the province to 2x the regular speed. The capital also gives you 5 VP's.
3. Fortress
Fortresses are very good for defending. They reduce the amount of damage your garrison takes by 15%-75% dependant on the level of the fortress if your troops are stationed in the province it is built in.
4. Market
The market is there for when you need more money. A market can increase your tax by 15%-125% dependant on level. The market will also increase the provinces morale by 5%-15% dependant on the level of the market.
5.Monument
The monument is almost vital if you wish to win your game by getting the required Victory Points. A monument can add 5-150 Victory Points to your province dependant on level. A monument has a max level of 5, however you can only have one level 5 monument in each country per game.
6. University
The university allows the production of all civilian units outside your capital. It increases tax production of the province by 25%. In the capital, it increases the civilian unit production speed by 2x the regular speed.
7.Mercenary Camp
The mercenary camp allows the production of mercenary units. These units are much stronger than regular units. However, they are also much more expensive. The mercenary camp also increase unit production speeds by 2-4x the regular speeds dependant on the level of the mercenary camp.
8.Infrastructure
Infrastructure is quite important. It increases tax production by 10-30% dependant on level. It also increases your units land speed by 9%-63% dependant on level. Infrastructure also increases the provinces morale by 5%-15% dependant on level.
9.Workshop
The workshop is very important for resource production. The workshop can increase the provinces resource production by 35%-60% dependant on level. (Note that it only increases the production of the resource of the province it is built in)
10. Colonial Office
The colonial office allows the production of colonial troops The colonial office also increases unit production speed by 2-4x the regular speed dependant on the level.
11. Barracks
The barracks allow the production of regular troops. The barracks also increases your manpower production by 25%-100% dependant on the level. The barracks also increases unit production speeds by 2-4x the regular speeds dependant on level.
12. Harbour
The harbour allows the production of naval units. It also decreases the time it takes to embark and disembark by 20%-50% dependant on level. It also increases resource production in the province by 5%-15% dependant on level. The harbour also increases unit production speeds by 2-4x the regular speed dependant on level.
