Killing a single explorer

In Supremacy1914, when a single unit is killed in one tick, it doesn't automatically result in war.

Here, 2 AIs had explorers in 2 of my provinces, staying there for hours after exloration, so my colonial infantry executed them as suspected spies. The newspaper called it "war".

Question: is that intentional? Some other nation can place so-called "civilians" in my provinces, and al i can do against this, is going to war? No option to forcefully kick them out while still at peace with their country?

no. An insta kill [win in 1st round] in Sup triggers war and if it fails to do so it's just a bug/exploit.

The agents in NWE can pass through any military units + cities they are not at war with.

For this reason they can be used to extend vision or spy, and the other nation is forced into war to stop that happening.
However, wasting even one admin or colonist on the task of scouting/spying [sitting in one place giving vision] is to deny your nation the progress/expansion, that the other nations in that round have.

Actually, the "no witnesses feature" was used and not considered a bug for several years. A recent change was not appreciated by the german-speaking community: forum.supremacy1914.com/showth…reits-Krieg-ausl%C3%B6sen

All the time it was being described as a feature..it was being sold as such.
It was never intended.
Much like how Shoot and Scoot isn't described as an exploit. [but it can be used like one]

yes, its intentional that agents can pass armies + cities they are not already at war with.
