I have an issue in my Canadian colonies with morale. I have a pentaly of (-35) due to the distance from my capital. I obviously am far from my capital since its a colony... how do I fix this?
How do I improve morale in my colonies?

the unfortunate part is, the only moral boosting building to be built in a lvl3 colony is the lvl1 infrastructure (simple streets and bridges). It's not like in supremacy, where a harbour gives a moral boost and a fortress adds up to that.

except as far as i've experienced markets are restricted to non core and core provs and cannot be built in colonies or at least can't on any of the games i play neither can workshops.
so as to answer slim reaper though
1 build infrastructure and level that up which will mitigate things somewhat
and i also believe that units garrisoning a prov increase moral potential too -

ahh didn't know about level reqs lvl 1 works with a + 5 thoguh

that's why all my provinces get the same upgrades:
Colonial Office up to level 3
Trade Company up to level 3
Infrastructure level 1 -
i use harbours instead of colonial office's a lot i'll have a few to deal with creating a cheap local def force but i like the additional res the harbour produces not sure if you can upgrade them to lvl 2 though now due yo your previous statement

I don't know if anyone is serious about adding a new building, but if so a Mission might be appropriate for a colony to add a boost to morale. I've considered a Pub or a Chapel as well, but those could be used in the Old World also. The Mission however, would clearly be a colony building designed to increase morale, if anyone was interested in going that route.All the world is a stage, to conceal the truth.
